This headband was found completely intact and is in very good vintage condition with no tarnishing to the gold lame netting and only slight tarnishing to the gold lame ribbon trim and ties. It will fit an average size head and can be worn on the forehead (as a bandeau) or farther back on the head (as a modern headband.)
Daisy Buchanan of "The Great Gatsby" would have been proud to wear this brilliant bandeau! Won't you be lucky to wear it to your next very special event?
Years ago, my sister (TheLittlestSister....Please see her site right here on Etsy) and I were fortunate enough to purchase two large collections of headbands. The collection contained rhinestone, celluloid and lame' headbands that were commercially made as well as headbands that were most likely handmade out of buckles, belts, and fancy trim for a special costume or a special occasion.
Although these headbands were lovingly stored, most all of them suffered some type of deterioration to the elastic or to the ribbons. We have replaced each elastic, ribbons or ties with new elastic, vintage ribbons, or vintage braided ties. In some cases the jump rings have been replaced as well as any shredded backings or parts. We of course used vintage materials. Please know that your are purchasing an authentic vintage item with newly replaced closures. All are beautiful examples of the Flapper Age.
