These shoes are one of a kind, with slate blue lace I brought back from Europe over teal satin, red suede dancing soles and what I call a 'floating' double strap.
They fit a slightly narrow size 9, which measures: 3.5-3.69" width, 8.75-9" around the ball of the foot, 23" circumference around the entire foot.
Straps fasten with ribbon ties and leave a small gap at the side of your foot. I have a tiny bit of the slate blue lace left, but not enough to do a second pair with the all-over lace like this (just enough for a lace cutout over the toe).
These shoes add about 1/4" to your height with super soft soles. These shoes feel like a cross between being barefoot and wearing sneakers. The sole's cushioning is 4-6 layers of felt made from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. There are several layers of felt and interfacing between your feet and the rubber to keep you comfortable.
The double straps across the top of the foot make long feet look smaller.
The oval toes of these shoes are slightly turned up to show the outer soles. Soles as pictured are red suede leather. I have other suede colors available. The suede extends up the side and back of the shoe upper about 1/4" and about an inch at the heel to prevent fabric from touching ground. These shoes are meant for dancing, extended indoor wear, or light (clean dry pavement: most weddings) outdoor wear.
The lining fabric is eggplant purple cotton and the outer fabric is a teal synthetic (polyester or nylon) satin with the slate blue lace on top. I have a couple of other blue laces, check out my swatches listing.

These are truly custom-made shoes. I hand make these shoes to fit your measurements.
I make your shoes to fit your measurements, after you place your order. You really can mix and match styles and materials to customize your shoes. The shoes on my website are ones I have made before, and could make again. I am happy to mix and match materials, style, and features. All of my shoes are fitted to have a right and a left. That sounds obvious, but many handmade shoes are not.
Check out my shop section called "How This Shop Works" for detailed info about sizing, measurements, customizing options, fabric swatches, and the ordering process:
My dress shoes feel like barefoot sports shoes. I can work in orthotic supports if you would prefer additional arch support. (I ask that you purchase and send those to me, because what feels good varies from person to person.) If you wear custom orthotics, I can leave room in the shoe for those.
Different sizes of feet, extra wide or extra narrow feet? No problem. If you've had trouble finding shoes that fit, please ask for my help!
I only have a few demo pairs in stock at any time. If it's important to you to see an example pair of shoes before you purchase them, ask me what I can do. (I don't have all sizes in all fabrics in stock at all times, of course.)
For shoes, I have five toe shapes: boxy, upturned, round, pleated, and oval. The boxy and upturned shoes fit more loosely in the arch area than the round and oval styles. The boxy toe has extra room over the small toe and is the loosest fitting in the toe area. The upturned toe shows the most sole. The oval toe is the most tailored to the foot. The pleated toe shows no sole but is only suitable for indoor wear. The round toe is a hybrid of the oval and upturned toe styles. All of my shoes are patterned to fit your feet around the ball of the foot, and are meant not to bind in any way.
I am meticulous about collecting your measurements: that's because the accuracy of the fit depends on the accuracy of the measurements you provide me. With accurate measurements I can usually get it spot on. If I see something unusual in your numbers, I'll ask you to double check.
To provide me with accurate measurements, check out my listing for detailed shoe sizing and measurements info (now, thank goodness, with pictures!)
