This is a photograph of the striking Kalalea Mountains, also known as King Kong's Profile- in Black and White. The Hawaiians used to call the middle peak Mano (Shark) Mountain, because it looks like a shark's fin, but is now called King Kong's Profile since the left peak is also supposed to look like King Kong's head. Some filming of the 1976 remake of King Kong was shot in Kauai. Supposedly, you can also see these same mountains in the opening credits of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
