Hubble Space Telescope image that inspired this colorway:
In one of the most detailed astronomical images ever produced, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope is offering an unprecedented look at the Orion Nebula. This turbulent star-formation region is one of astronomy's most dramatic celestial objects. The Orion Nebula is a perfect laboratory to study how stars are born because it is 1,500 light-years away, a relatively short distance within our 100,000 light-year wide galaxy. This extensive study took 105 Hubble orbits to complete. All imaging instruments aboard the telescope were used simultaneously to study the nebula.
About this yarn:
A round yarn with a soft, smooth hand, Lightyears LF is equally at home in a cozy sock or an intricate cable. Featuring generous yardage, this versatile 3-ply yarn also creates luscious tees, shawls, and scarves.
While this yarn is machine washable in cold water, hand washing can extend the life of the garment. Lay flat to dry.
This colorway is available as a custom order. Note that all my yarns are hand-dyed and no two skeins are the same, despite similarities.
This item is multi-colored in pink, yellow, taupe, and grape tones with a range of intermediate colors. This listing is for one 100g skein. You are buying the yarn shown in the picture. The skein is shown before and after re-skeining, so you have a better idea of how the yarn will look knitted/crocheted up. I take pictures that represent the color/texture of the item as accurately as I can. Please remember that monitors vary in how they render colors. If you have any questions, I welcome your conversation.
All my yarns are hand-dyed one at a time, using high-quality, professional dyes in a non-smoking, pet-free home.
