AceroStudio is in our home. I am happy to have found something that I enjoy doing, and can pursue in the loving company of my daughter, my partner, and our dog, that also brings home some bacon. Welding, one of my other occupations, isn't quite as social. I'm proud to feel that I am making something different, and offering practical, useful items. My great-grandmother, who made lace and painted china, always said that god never made anything perfect. Although I am not a religious person, I appreciate the sentiment, and it's part of what I like about my always a little different prints and Etsy in general.
Each piece is hand printed and a little different from the next. Enamels are made in the EU and conform to ASTM D-4326 and EU 71.3. Most of the items I print on are made in the USA. Believe me, it is hard to find manufacturers!
I love the balance between the basic fabricated forms and the unique image of the print. Some images are from my photographs, some from old books and prints, some just random found images I like working with.
