I define myself as mother, first and most important. The daughter this shoppe is named for passed away in December of 2009. I miss her terribly and at 21, she was taken way too soon. This shoppe is a dream we had together, her wanting me to do it in our town. We all know how the economy can dampen our dreams, though. Youth dreams big in spite of reality and I envy that, don't you? :o)
I love creating. It doesn't matter if it's jewelry or food. My "happy place" is my kitchen. I need that balance to keep me from going crazy in the corporate world of my "real" job. I'm as country and down to earth as you can get and it's not a good fit sometimes. My other two children, well, young adults, keep me grounded and going on.
I have a spoiled rotten dog and a cat that thinks my lap is her "spot". LOL
