About

Hello. My name is Amanda and I am the sole soul behind Annealed Heart Studio. I design and fabricate everything in my shop with the utmost love and attention to detail. My goal is to provide original, soulfully designed, and exquisitely crafted jewelry that will be enjoyed for years to come. I am inspired by subtleties in nature, great lyrics, emotion, memories, humor, a stray feather... pretty much anything is fair game. I love experimenting with techniques I learned while earning my BFA in jewelry and metals, and getting lost in the process of creating.

I employ a variety of traditional metalsmithing techniques in the creation of my jewelry- one of my favorites being cuttlefish casting. About

I cast recycled sterling into cuttlefish bone imparting a unique and earthy texture on the surface of the metal. There is an abundance of information about cuttlefish bone casting online if you would like to know more about this ancient technique. I also collect (okay...hoard) designer cut cabochons and gemstones- many from independent lapidary artists here on Etsy, which I intuitively incorporate into my designs. There is serendipity factor involved in the creation process of my jewelry that makes each piece one of a kind. I am happy to take on a custom request that is in the spirit of any of my other designs, though every piece is unique so differences are to be expected (and hopefully celebrated!).

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you see something here that sparks your spirit. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or special requests.

I am also on Etsy under account aace.
