~ i love pictures ~
My father gave me my first camera, a film camera, at the age of 15. I marveled at the mystery of capturing a moment in time; and the nuances of mood & of contrast that could be created with black & white film. When I traveled every mountain, river, tree & cloud in the sky were photographed...so that I could relive the memory through a picture. Often times I would slip one of my photos into a favorite novel, then return it to the bookshelf, or decoupage one on a handpainted wooden box & display it on a dresser, or simply pin a few on a bulletin board to inspire me while at work on a daily basis.

I continue to be amazed at the magic captured, freeze frame & everlasting, from a single moment in time.
