I get unduly excited when I can incorporate vintage hankies and other vintage fabric into a project. My dolls, for the most part, wear dresses fashioned from vintage hankies.
I enjoy finding old diaries (pre 1920; 1800's preferable) at antique stores, deciphering the writing and searching on the web for clues to the diarist's life. My MFA lecture involved just such sleuthing. I'm primarily a working and published poet who enjoys crafting and baking for the pleasure of holding the finished product and hearing other people oohh and ahh over it.
