By day, I am a mild mannered university lecturer, molding (some would say bending) young minds, and imparting words of wisdom about bits and bytes, and the beauty of recursion in computer science. By night, (and sometimes early in the morning) I transform into the (not so) well known superhero, Bag Chemistry Woman!

...About my designs
I love travel, science, reading, technology, nature, art and design. I'm also a little geeky and goofy. I often combine these elements in ways that are interesting to me, like using text from a book to make a portrait of a character from that book. Or I will take a horror staple, like Cthulhu and Zombies, and make them into a cartoon. Sometimes I start a design from a pencil sketch and sometimes I will start it directly on the computer.

...About my process
I use heat transfers to adhere my designs to sturdy cotton canvas bags. These are not silk-screens, so the prints are full of color that is deep and saturated. The bags are washable, and the prints are water resistant. Keep them away from hot dryers, irons and don't let water sit on them.

...About my studio.
My workroom overlooks an certified wildlife refuge with lots of birds, frogs, fish, raccoons, possums, snakes and interesting bugs. It is smoke-free, but kitty friendly.
