Bella Rosina is Italian for beautiful rose. Once when I asked my Grandfather to tell me some stories about my Grandmother, he said to me, "she is my rose, my beautiful rose." Rose is my Grandmother's name and as a little girl growing up in New York, her mother, who was a recent immigrant from Italy, called her "Rosina" which translates to Rose. My Grandfather was right, my Grandmother is a beautiful Rose and even more so when she wears Bella Rosina Jewelry!

Honoring my Grandmother and my Italian ancestry in my shop name came naturally. As a little girl I watched my Grandmother create beautiful meals for the family with her two hands. I, too, wish to create beautiful things with my hands and in doing so Bella Rosina Jewelry was born naturally and after a couple years of giving away jewelry to friends and family who insisted I sell to others.

Growing up with an Aunt (my Grandmother's daughter) who always created handmade and wrapped everything in white tissue paper with fine ribbons, also gave me inspiration and excitement. Once my Aunt gave me a hemp necklace crocheted with beads and I wore it all summer long in the pool until it finally started to stretch. My Aunt continues to teach me about handmade art and the simplicity of creation. Not everything needs to be so large, so opulent or so expensive. A thing of beauty can be simple and understated yet have the look and feel of royalty.

When creating pieces for Bella Rosina Jewelry I think of all the women in my life who have led me, nurtured me, inspired me, taught me and still befriend me every single day. Honoring these women in my designs is befitting and necessary as these women are beautiful, strong and endearing.

All Bella Rosina Jewelry pieces are created with the finest of materials: Italian glass direct from Murano and Venice, Czech glass, Swarovski crystal, Vintage glass, American 925 Sterling Silver, Italian 925 Sterling Silver and American 14K Gold Fill. There are no counterfeits and no inferior quality materials. Supporting the American businesses, Italian glass makers, Czech glass makers and Austrian glass makers who have been creating these products is very important to me.

Wearing a piece of Bella Rosina Jewelry is akin to walking in a rose garden where nature, color and shapes combine and form a luscious retreat. Thus, each piece of Bella Rosina jewelry is designed and created with the intention to make a woman look and feel like a "Beautiful Rose."
