I wish I could say I am a stay at home mom, but I am not. However, I am lucky enough to love my day job, and even luckier that it allows me to spend summer, Christmas Break & March break with my wonderful toddler. She is my whole world, and she is the reason I am here on Etsy!

I always wanted to crochet. My grandmother tried to teach me as a little girl, but I am left handed, and whatever she was doing with that crochet hook was beyond me. It was like she was twirling her fingers and creating beautiful patterns. I got as far as making a chain with a crochet hook, and stopped trying.... Until my daughter was born! I really loved all the sweet crochet things I saw on Etsy, and thought, "my grandmother could make these things!" But then I had a second thought... "I could make these things!" About

"I could make these things!" I was so motivated to learn, and eventually I created my first hat. It was lovely & purple.. and a bit too small for my sweet pea's head! I got better, and started to crochet all sorts of things. More hats than my daughter would ever need. & then I thought I would love to try & make something out of my favourite hobby.

At times I wonder if it is all worth it, and I wonder if I am crazy to be putting so much love & attention into my crocheting. & then I look to my husband. He has always been the kinda guy that does whatever he sets his mind to. When I met him, he could not play clap his hands to the beat of a tune, let alone play a musical instrument. One day he said he wanted to play guitar & be in a band. I thought he was crazy. Here we are, only 5 years later and he plays guitar in a band. He has taught me that if you put your mind to it, you really can achieve anything your heart desires.

I love borrowing crochet books from the library to learn new techniques. I love sitting with my grandmother to learn some of her crochet secrets. I love collecting crochet hooks in all different sizes. I love yarn, and I love yarn shopping. I could spend hours looking at different colours, & textures... but at the end of the day I love cotton yarn the best. I know there are about a billion different fabulous kinds of yarn out there, but cotton is lightweight, safe to put on wee ones, and so very versatile, soft & sturdy. I would hate to send out one of my specially made creations, only for a baby to have an allergic reaction to it, and so most of my baby items are made out of cotton yarns.

That is a teensy little bit about me! Thanks for stopping by!
