I have been drawn to jewelry and anything shiny and pretty as far back as I can remember. I started making jewelry when I was about 13 years old. I love choker style necklaces, but I have always had an unusually small neck. So none of them ever fit! I found some brass wire and some colorful seed beads in my mom's sewing room, and a new passion was born. I love the freedom of creating, and I love learning new techniques. There are so many directions to go with jewelry making that I think it is something I would like to keep doing for the rest of my life.

Oddly enough, I was about the same age when I bought my first piece of vintage costume jewelry. Not only are chokers a consistent part of vintage fashion, but the sparkle of the rhinestones, the vibrant colors, and the weight of the materials are all so rich and decadent.
