i've always been interested in jewelry serving as a kind of psychic armor, as the world is hard and will always try to pierce you with daggers & arrows, just as much as it is kind and beautiful. i believe my work oscillates between holding potent protectional qualities, imbued by its wearer, or as talismans, simply enjoyed for their aesthetics & design.


its been important for me to keep bloodmilk indie run. each piece is handmade here in philly; i photograph, write each listing, and carefully box up and ship every order personally to keep the intimacy i feel/have for each piece sincere. being a one lady side show means that i care about every piece that goes out. in this way there is a communion between you & i, an experience that i often find in decline in our modern times. i'm always available for questions & concerns: jlschnabel [!at] gmail.com
