Barb Boatman's Profile

About

There once was a little girl from West Virginia who grew up watching her grandma quilt and her mom sew. Inspired by both, she dreamed for years of being a seamstress, a quilter, and an artist.

My journey started with patchwork pillows and dresses for 2 daughters in the 70s. Next came traditonal quilts in the 80s. Pursuit of a college degree and career halted all sewing and creating through the 90s.

Then in 2000 I pulled out the quilting fabric, and a bread box full of vintage buttons. That dream started as a desire to use old techniques in new ways. Today my artistic mission is all about creating something fun, something unexpected, something green in the most creative way possible. I hope you enjoy my newest work as an emerging artists having a lot of fun.
