Welcome!
My name’s Casey and I’m the creator of Casey Bugg.

I recently lost my job and it’s been one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me. Starting this little shop has given me the creative freedom to be my own boss and play by my own rules. I’ve always danced to the beat of my own drum.

My big inspiration is my niece. I just want to make things for her all the time! And it’s inspired me to make things for all new moms. I call my products “Baby Accessories” to give it a fashion twist, because I like the idea of starting a fashion revolution for babies. I really design my stuff for the baby, not for the adult. Why do grownups get to have all the fun!?

I also draw inspiration from my sister – she’s a new mom, but also stylish. Burp cloths don’t need to be contoured to…

Burp cloths don’t need to be contoured to your shoulder if your baby is projectile vomiting on you. Are you really going to take the time to place it? No. You just want something cute to keep the spit and vomit off of you on the bib or burp cloth.

My idea of my shop is contemporary baby things rather than the same old nursery things you see. I like to take patterns that someone would use for a purse or a shirt and make it into something for a baby. I think a lot of baby stuff is “typical baby stuff” and I think outside the box. The things I’ve been most excited about are the things I don’t see often for babies – like black and pink bibs, or argyle bibs, or giant red and black tutus. I do have some more traditional things, but they have a spin on them. I use 100% cotton quilting fabrics for my bibs. They come in the best variety of patterns and colors.

My process starts with an inspiration and moves from there. The inspiration comes from all over! Sometimes it’s a certain fabric, sometimes it’s an idea, sometimes it’s a feeling, sometimes it’s my niece and what I picture her in. Once the inspiration hits, the design quickly follows. My favorite part of crafting is taking something from an idea to product.

I LOVE custom orders! I love collaborating with people on ideas to create a product that’s unique for them, and that they love. And feel a part of in creating! So if you have an idea for a bib or burp cloth or tutu, contact me and let’s see what we can cook up!

You’re probably wondering how I got the name Casey Bugg? Casey Bug is a family nickname for me – mostly used by my dad and my sister. I added the extra G to make it unique.
