Greetings! :)

My name is Aoife Blackthorn. I am the owner of Cauldron of Cerridwen, an organic witchcraft shop. We opened our Etsy doors on Imbolc, February 2, 2011 - an auspicious day, as it coincided with a new moon.

I live with my partner, Nightfall, and our 9 cats and 2 dogs. (Don't worry, I craft in a room where no critters are allowed - much to their frustration!) We also have two spoiled horses, whose keeping I fund through Etsy.

In September, 2011, I resigned from my day job as a zookeeper at an AZA accredited institution to focus on my metaphysical callings.

My passion is to create cruelty-free, eco friendly products for the magickal community. I stumbled onto this road because I was looking for the same products I am now making. Being a vegan, animal rights and environmental activist, I found myself at a loss in regards to where to obtain magickal supplies that fit my ethics. I realized in order to consistently have organic, cruelty free materials to work my Craft with, I would need to make them myself. So, since I was already doing it, I've decided to make them for you, too!

I believe that the more easily available eco-friendly, cruelty-free products are, the more people will choose them over conventional products. This is a vital step on the road to a sustainable world, an effort I am ever humbled and grateful to be participating in.
