The Cubbyhole is a family owned and operated business. We have been making wooden name puzzles and stools for over 30 years. Over the years many family members have had a hand in the Cubbyhole business one way or another.
We started by making wood cars and trucks for our son and then went into the name puzzles and stools. We traveled a five state area doing craft fairs for many years. Then we decided to give up the traveling and opened a store in West Dundee where we had the workshop in the basement and the store upstairs.
After years of having a store we decided to give up the store. At this time we sell too many national catalog companies and retail stores across the country. We have our own website where we get orders from all over the world.
We make all our items from pine and birch and take great pride in providing a safe and study product. We use only non-toxic acrylic paints and sealers on our puzzles and stools. Our stools and puzzles are made to last, we are now getting orders from customers who had a Cubbyhole stool when they were little and now want one for their child.
Cubbyhole items are made in West Dundee Illinois USA.
Making items for children we feel it is important to have a safe and educational product that can be made right here in the US.
