I am a firm believer that you should choose to wear something because it is designed well, and you feel good wearing it, not because of a predetermined monetary worth. Since most of my materials are bought second-hand, I usually have no way of knowing what it is made of, or whether it is "high quality" or not. I choose my jewelry and beads to upcycle based on how they look and feel, not on whether they are made of a certain materials. For all I know, a necklace could be made of gold and diamonds, or tin and plastic. What I appreciate is the possibility of turning it into a truly unique and beautiful piece, and I hope you do too.
