I'm an artist/educator living in Texas. I teach Design, Drawing, and Art Appreciation at the local community college. The Art Appreciation class is online, and that has really been a learning experience for me. However, I love it --I can teach in my sweats or pjs!

I have an M.F.A. in Painting, and watercolor is my first love. My experience with watercolor extends all the way back to elementary school when Art class was the highlight of every week. These days my favorite subjects come from nature, but I have also painted a long series of older buildings and architectural details.

I also really like drawing with pencil -- you can't get much more basic than that! I really enjoy the very direct nature of the medium, and compared with watercolor, control is super easy. My third medium is mixed media. I like to create...

My third medium is mixed media. I like to create collages or cards using a combination of hand-painted papers and vintage ephemera, especially old photographs and greeting cards.

I am also an antique dealer, and so am constantly on the lookout for cool junque!
