Welcome! I am a mother of 2 wonderful boys who have inspired me to focus my efforts. I have lots of pattern making experience and design skills from working for various West coast designers. When I decided to start my own line, I thought I wanted to create an entire sportswear line. Not only is it an impossible amount of work for one person, but it is incredibly competitive. Once I decided to focus in on making coats, things began to fall into place. I've had my company De Novo for several years now. My label can be found at select boutiques and retail venues throughout the US. I enjoy my work tremendously, and I have time to spend with my kids through having a home based studio.
The pieces you order here on Etsy are designed, patterned, and sewn by me in my home loft studio. I work and rework my patterns until the fit is exceptional, then I scout for the finest fabrics to complete the design. Many hours are put into meticulously machine and hand sewing each piece using high-end professional sewing techniques learned in the industry. The result is a high-quality designer coat, meant to last.
