I have had an interest in a variety of art forms from a very young age. During my school years, art was the focus of my studies. Of special interest is knitting, crocheting, watercolor painting, jewelry and sewing. I grew up in a crafty, artsy family. My grandmother, a Finnish immigrant and my mom showed me all that is wonderful in these areas. I still cherish some of the handmade mittens and hats given to me by mom and grandma. Mom has painted some beautiful watercolor landscapes and Grandma won numerous 1st place and grand champion ribbons at the county and state fairs. My father is a master craftsman in woodworking and metalwork - a perfectionist when it comes to details. The love of art and handwork must be in the genes. I was born to create!
