Haramis17:
Well, most of my story is similar to Kalessin (see below) with the difference that I have frogs instead of a cat ;-). I started knitting after I had seen her first shawl because I could not decide which pattern she should knit for me so I tried it myself and got bitten by the lace bug.
The other difference between us is that my most favourite fiber is pure silk and Kalessin is also fond of wool/silk blends or pure merino wool.

Kalessin1983:
My name is Nicole and I live with my boyfriend and my cat in a smoke free small flat near Nuremberg, Germany.
I work in a research lab and have several hobbies such as playing the piano, knitting, spinning, reading and sports. I learned to knit in school but got quite frustrated with it as I never made anything which I found worth wearing. In December 2008 I discovered that stoles and triangle shawls are things I’d like to have so I started knitting again. Since then I’m addicted to this hobby, especially since science can be quite frustrating and knitting usually is not ^_^
Of course with knitting there came the longing for increasing the size of my stash. But sometimes I found it quite difficult to find a yarn that was made out of the right fiber, had the right yardage, colour and “solidness”, all at the same time. Especially for my purpose: lace knitting. So Haramis17 and I started to dye yarns ourselves and thought that we could share them with the rest of you who are also in need for just the right yarn.
