ERGANIweaving's Profile
About
My name is Eleni Pavlou and I live in Poros, a small island in Greece.
I always liked to do things with my hands. I learned knitting as a child, and during my studies in the University of Athens (School of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology), I found the opportunity to learn weaving. From the first moment I knew this is what I always liked to do to. With the support of my husband, we bought the first loom in 1998 and started the workshop ERGANI.
Since 2000, I work as a teacher of creative arts to young children at the Poros Crafts’ Center, where for the last five years there is a section on weaving.
I give weaving and felting seminars to adults, too.
Weaving makes me feel complete, happy, creative, calm and it gives me power and energy. It helps to express myself, to communicate with people.
Weaving is so...
