Eating Black Feathers is about a recurring dream I use to have.
It is about being a wild child, doing what is least expected, inhabiting an outside world of imagination and expression. A mischievous creature ever changing. Mystical powers embodied.

I have been obsessed with ethnic dress, gypsy music, culture and clothing, fetish wear and vintage forever.

Trained as a costume designer. I have worked for costume shops, as well as a couturier house. I launched a small and experimental collection in 2005 after taking some sewing lessons from the basement of my mother's tailor. This was collection was titled Robyn Dru and was presented in Toronto at the fashion show "Clothes Your Mouth" with Fashion as a Force.

Its hard to sleep when fabric speaks and dances before you pleading for you to dance with it working its fibers into a form. Seriously i have too many designs to do.

Things are slowing down for me here since i have a full time fashion job now. I am changing my studio too so check back regularly for new designs.
