Patty Rosburg's Profile

About

I live with my husband, teenager, 2 neurotic dogs, 5 barn cats, a flock of chickens, and some cows in rural Nebraska. My husband calls me a packrat. But the truth is I can't seem to throw anything away! He is quite understanding about my obsessions. I love to find new uses for discarded and thrown away items by rescuing them, and making something new out of them.

My kids say I'm not 'normal'. I can fix my own car, wire a new lamp, sew my own clothes (as well as the kids), cook and clean, and still somehow find time to go fishing once in awhile. I'm actually kind of hyper, haha.

I love rootbeer floats, the smell of freshly cut grass, poppies, gardening, and animals.

I love the smell of frying bacon, because it reminds me of Grandmas house.

I love playing with the grandkids, doing outrageous things, laughing till it hurts and hugs.

I have always been 'crafty', making gifts instead of buying them, and take great pleasure in making 'one of a kind' gifts. I don't like things that I know you can just run down to your local 'WallyWorld' and buy, and would rather make and give homemade.

The things I love the most are gifts that someone has made for me.

I believe a handmade gift comes from the heart, is part of myself and is something to be treasured.
