Born & raised in Christchurch, I had an upbringing that actively encouraged & nurtured exploration of the arts – all arts. Over the years I have explored many avenues & mediums – but 4 1/2 years ago found my true calling & succumbed to the call of the glass siren.

I have, apparently, always played with fire – but it wasn’t until I discovered the lack of quality glass beads available in New Zealand for my jewellery designs, that I realised it was an option to mix that particular element with glass & create beads.

So now I play with fire & glass rods imported from Italy, Germany & America - & of course New Zealand’s own very special Gaffer Glass.
Gaffer have been making glass under that name since 1993, & over the last 3 years have been supplying it to USA glass artisans via their warehouse there.

My beads are frequently organic in style & use the wonderful palettes from nature.

Each bead is unique & can never be perfectly replicated – to be honest I have no desire to do so. I want my clients to have a “one off, unique & original wearable work of glass art” that can be worn & enjoyed for many years to come.
