Karen Fisher's Profile

About

I’m Karen Fisher and work out of my attic studio in a charming 1900's Victorian home, thus "Fish In The Attic Studio". I live in a beautiful harbor village on Long Island, NY with my husband, two daughters, a Ragdoll cat and an Australian Terrier puppy.

I’m a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, with a degree in Interior Design, and sixteen years experience in the field. After the birth of my first child, I became part of a community group for new mothers and began using my creativity in new ways to help in fundraising for the group. This became the perfect outlet for my creative talents and the basis for my home-based craft business.

I hope this newest venture is a success! I'm certainly going to have fun trying!

As of November 2013, I have a small booth in a local antiques mall and am constantly on the search for great old pieces and collectibles to showcase!

I have a passion for rubber stamping and creating beautiful art with paper, ink and vintage ephemera. I love finding hiddden treasures at antique shops, yard sales and flea markets. My work has been published in the Stamper's Sampler Magazine.

In my years of selling here on Etsy, I have had nothing but positive experiences. Both the buyers and sellers alike have been supportive and professional. It is a wonderful community!
