I am a physically disabled jewelry designer. I started making jewelry mainly as a form of therapy and because we couldn't afford to buy it when the style changed over to larger jewelry. It began with pop bottles and cardboard tubes, masking tape and dried lentils...now I mostly work with wire and glass, crystal, and gemstone beads. I'm mostly housebound these days and when I design a piece of jewelry, it helps take me out of myself. I've made a lot of jewelry and now I'm finding that if I want to make more, I need to sell what I've made. I mostly work in Tibet silver, silver and golden, bronze, brass, and silver-filled wire, and assorted gemstones and crystals and Czech and mouthblown glass. Sometimes I find wonderful items and I try to salvage as much of them as possible to use in my work. One day I lay down for a nap and dreamed about a ring and how to make it, so when I woke up, I started working on it at once and made 5 that...
