Hello! My name is Karen and I live in a small town in West Texas. My favorite thing to do is to make soap. I dream about making soap and swirling different colors to make them look nice.

I started making soap a little over 10 years ago. My skin was so irritated, dry, and itchy from using commercial soap. I had never used handmade soap then so my daughter told me she had heard it was so much better for you. I thought "Oh yeah! Whatever!" Then she gave me a bar she had bought online. There was no turning back. I had to have more. My skin went to feeling soft and moisturized with no more itching. The problem was, I could not find a soapmaker near me. So I started my research on how to make soap and joins some soap groups. I started off real simple with M&P (melt and pour glycerin). They were nice and pretty but they did not lather like I wanted. So that is when I got down to reading as much as I could on how to make soap from scratch. My first batch was a success and I have never looked back. I now make all of my soap in the cold process way where they have to cure 6 to 8 weeks.

Because they are handmade and hand cut, they may look a little different from the pictures and their weight will vary but they should be very similar.

If you have not tried handmade soap, you should. You will be amazed like I was of how it feels and the creamy lather it has.
