I began knitting at the age of 8, taught by my grandmother and my mother. Knitting has always had a meditative effect on me and strangely enough, those around me, too.

For example, my job used to require that I travelled often between Philadelphia and Washington, DC or New York City. I would always carry my knitting with me and usually worked on my knitting projects on the homebound train. My seat companions would almost always comment about how soothing it was to sit next to someone who was knitting. Somewhere out there, there must be a book called "Zen and the Art of Knitting"!

My shop has two goals:

* Always use all natural fibers in the creation of my hand knit goods.

* Paying it forward by donating 5% of sales for three...

* Paying it forward by donating 5% of sales for three months at a time to 4 different charitable organizations a year.
