I'm currently working through a PhD program in History. When I'm not writing second-rate essays about the cause of the U.S. Civil War at 3am, I'm helping my husband remodel our house which used to be a church. Do you remember the movie "The Money Pit"? Yeah...

For *fun* I make candlesticks out of plumbing and electrical parts. I love the solitary nature of being in my workshop and using my hands to make a tangible item. It's a world away from grad school.
