Now relocated to Brentwood, TN, I started out attempting wood turning on a Shopsmith as a way to make some table legs for a project I had in mind and had been collecting some really nice wood for. To date I have actually never made that table, getting somewhat side-tracked with the creative nature and processes of wood turning. I never intended for that to happen but am very pleased that it did. I no longer have the Shopsmith, rather I have acquired and sold various lathes, finally settling on one, and a shop full of equipment to support it. I have wood turning tools and wood and wood chips everywhere. I have discovered a passionate obsession and on a daily basis joyfully manipulate portions of trees into useful objects and art pieces that are used and currently circulated throughout the US, Canada, and Taiwan.
