Jagna's Profile

About

My name is Jagna.

My inspiration comes from the world around me, but I am not trying to reproduce the world in my pieces. My approach is to move the viewer's imagination, therefore I keep my pieces very spare and clean. The titles of the pieces can be seen as starting points for the imagination to begin wandering.

My jewelry is meant for people who value unique and original things. I only make unique pieces, there are no two pendants, bracelets, or pairs of earrings that are the same.

I have been into art ever since I can remember, have done university courses in sculpture, fine art photography and ceramics.

I have been into art ever since I can remember, have done university courses in sculpture, fine art photography and ceramics.
I started making jewelry when still in high school, and since then I have experimented with different approaches, different designs and different media. I am currently working with polymer clay and have developed my own combination of techniques that creates the unique qualities of my jewelry.

I have got an MA degree in architecture and used to work in that profession for years. I chose to study architecture because it is combining art and science in such a great way.

You can see my pieces in person in the Art Gallery Mayak Art House, in the south of Poland, where I also organize workshops.
