About

Hi. Welcome to my shop.

I live in Asheville, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’ve got mountains (Of course!), woods, waterfalls, great weather (usually) and lots and lots of photo ops! It’s a great place to be, and a great place to be a photographer.

About

Hi. Welcome to my shop.

I live in Asheville, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’ve got mountains (Of course!), woods, waterfalls, great weather (usually) and lots and lots of photo ops! It’s a great place to be, and a great place to be a photographer.

In 2012, my focus seems to have shifted away from capturing nature in literal, straightforward photographs. I find my creativity is more satisfied by a process I call "imaginizing": taking my photos into the "digital darkroom" and transforming them into works of art that sometimes make people question whether they're actually photos. The first time I did it, it was actually an accident. But the result was really exciting and it really fired my imagination; I went back through all my old photos, looking for ways that I could transform them with this new art form I had discovered. Now when I go out to take photos I know that they won't end up the way I see them through the viewfinder; their final form will be "imaginized." I really love the work I'm creating these days and I hope you do too.

Any photos you see on my other sites can also be purchased; just convo me.
