I've been designing jewelry since 1976. (Yes, I am older than dirt.) The Boy That Broke My Heart in high school had given me a heishi necklace and it broke. I took it to be restrung, and as I watched, I thought "I can do that!" And thus, a lifelong habit of spending more on jewelry-making supplies than I do on food was begun....

I use only high quality components, and I spend a lot of time making sure each piece I make is finished to the highest standards. I inspect each wire loop to make sure it's fully closed, and all wire ends are tucked in and filed down if necessary. Any plated parts I use have a heavy level of plating, and I have been working with each of my metal component suppliers for 5-10 years or more (one for more than 20 years), so I know their quality is top-notch.
