Hello! My name is Jurate. Born and raised in Lithuania- small European country . A few years ago, me and my fiancé (now he's my beloved husband :) ) moved to United States.
Origin of my name is Lithuanian. There was a story about queen of the Baltic sea- Mermaid Jurate, who fell in love with a human being- fisherman Kastytis. It's like Romeo and Juliet love story, just Lithuanian version :)
How I've got my nickname Juja?.. My niece, when she was a little girl, couldn't pronounce my name, so she thought about my short name and started calling me Juja. It was just a lot easier for her :) A correct pronunciation of my nickname is [ju:ja].
I'm a graduate of University of Technology - have a degree in Industrial Textile technologies and design. Right after the graduation I worked in one of the biggest Lithuanian textile companies as an international sales manager.
