About
Born into a family of seamstresses, I discovered my passion for design at the age of 5 while making clothes for my Barbies. I've always been a creative person and dabbled with several types of design growing up. I moved to New York a few years after graduating college with a fashion merchandising degree, and worked for a jewelry company in Nolita. Being around beautiful things all day inspired me to take a few metal smithing classes.
I didn't sew on a regular basis until a few years ago. The concept for June Rose Designs started in 2007 when I made bags for my girlfriends that were accompanying me on a trip to run a marathon in San Francisco.
Now, I use it as my creative outlet,and for a little pocket change. My other hobby requires a pair of tennis shoes. I've trained for and ran 3 full marathons and 10 half marathons. I also work a full time job that...
