About

I am a self-taught artisan. I was born and raised in Japan. After I came to the States I learned tole painting. I have never painted on gourds till I went back to Japan and met this Japanese gourd artist. Her work opened my eyes and helped me expand my painting possibility. We moved to Germany and I learned old European painting and one stroke painting on old windows.


I have also taught painting classes through out my journeys. It was extremely fun teaching people from different cultures how to paint. On several occasions, it was the first time they had ever seen a gourd and or picked up a paint brush. I loved working with them in designing the art work and seeing their painting abilities grow.
