Welcome to La Chérie on Top! It is with great pleasure that we introduce ourselves to you.

My name is Gracia. I live in South Jersey and have been here all my life. I am an only child and grew up in a small town about 15 min. outside of Philadelphia. I am and will always be a Jersey Girl! My life has been a roller coaster. Currently I’m at a peak and I’m not coming down. There are a million things that I could tell you about myself, but for the sake of keeping it short here are some general facts. I am married to a wonderful husband. We have a kitty,Kayla and no kids. Besides creating and our Etsy shop, I am focusing on my health. I have had a long burning desire to be free from the restraints of an average life ever since I was a child. I just never knew how I would make that happen until now. I found a like-minded soul in my best friend Sarah. I have never considered myself to be crafty or talented at anything. However, what I know is that I can learn what ever I want and I can do anything I put my mind to!

My name is Sarah. I am also a South Jersey girl, having lived a stone’s throw from Philadelphia my entire life. My husband, Fred and I will be married in November 2009 after over 8 blissful years together. I love anything that has to do with fashion and renovating my vintage Cape Cod house; I am a fan of anything that is unique and has a history. As with art, my feeling toward clothing/jewelry is that it does not matter how much you spend as long as you love it so much you cannot live without it. I am so excited to be able to collaborate with my best friend, Gracia. We share the same philosophies about the importance of making women feel confident and beautiful. That, combined with our strong work ethic, makes us the perfect pair!

Sarah and I met while working as Bridal Consultants for a large chain bridal shop. At first this was just a job for both of us. Sarah was working her way through college and I just needed a full-time gig that paid somewhat decently. We quickly learned that not only did we love working with brides - we loved the fashion! Around the end of 2002, I was in the market for a wedding gown, and had seen an ad that took my breath away. Sarah convinced me that we MUST see the gown in person. So we did. The gown was stunning, and so began new careers for both of us. The owner of that bridal salon offered us both jobs, and we jumped at the chance to further our careers and work with couture bridal gowns. Sarah eventually graduated college and moved on to work in Marketing. I stayed at the bridal salon for 6 years. I learned a lot about business, bridal, fashion, and sales. Since we met Sarah and I hit it off. We daydreamed for a few years about one day owning our own business. The more we dreamt, the more we hated our current jobs. The more we hated our jobs, the more we dreamt. And so, here we are. Taking what we love and turning it into our own little something in the world.

Each of our pieces is handmade especially to be the cherry on top, to add an accent that completes your look. We understand the stress and frustration associated with shopping for affordable, unique wedding day accessories.
