Leni and Michelle Schroeder's Profile

About

Hi, welcome to our shop! We are so excited to be here, to be able to sell our creations! We are Leni and Michelle Schroeder, sisters-in-law, who absolutely adore creating unique jewelry. We particularly enjoy using lampwork beads (especially by B.C. artists) and Swarovski crystal. (So basically, anything sparkly.)

Leni (pronounced Laney)
I started making jewelry in 2007, after seeing a local artist selling her original lampwork beads and jewelry at the Rock & Gem Show in Abbotsford, B.C. I found a tutorial for a bracelet and that’s how it all started. Over the years, my designs have evolved, my technique has improved and I find it more and more fulfilling. But, I’ve come to realize that I need to share with others as I can’t wear everything I make (there are, after all, only 365 days in a year).
I work at a library in the Fraser Valley, and adore my job. My co-workers have been encouraging me to sell my work, and I have finally decided to answer the call.
Favourite materials: lampwork glass beads, crystals, gunmetal, silver, and oh, whatever else catches my fancy

In 2010, I met Leni and saw all of her beautiful pieces that she had made; so I asked her to teach me. I've loved doing it ever since; I consider it another creative outlet that adds more variety other than drawing in a sketchbook.
