Hey!
Why the name? It's partly my name, Lesley, and my "Cargo", or my stuff; but it's also a play on the french "l'escargot" meaning cooked snail, a delicacy in France. And while that may not sound appetizing to some, remember how cute and adorable they are when they're alive! Snails are a creature we think of as disgusting when we step on them, but they're really just little Gary's mooching along making their happy little way through your garden. Appreciate the snail. And give every person's art a chance because it is a representative of their personality. :)
I'm a college student selling my favorite creations to help save up for school next year as I'm considering going to an out of state college, to hopefully find something not too time-consuming that will help with the cost, while I actively search for a job!
If my sales on etsy could provide just my spending money, for going out to dinner with friends occasionally or the movies, maybe gas for a short road trip or a couple accessories, that would be perfect. 100 sales a year is my goal.. and I will keep adjusting my items and shop until it becomes possible. :)

Notes: Copying...I've heard some people are worried about etsy shop owners copying their items.. I get my inspiration from nature, from antique stores, from bright colors, from general trends that I like. I incorporate some or all of those into each item in my shop, and would not intentionally copy someone else's work.. believe me, I have a younger sibling who used to copy everything I do, and I know how it feels. I would take a trend like the infinity scarf for example, and make my own version of it, but not look at someone's infinity scarf they made and replicate it to the detail. Just felt like putting that out there... not sure why, but it's just something I've been thinking about, in regards to etsy. :)
