Thank you for visiting Liberty Images! I'm Jen, the photographer behind the art and classic car/retro obsession.
As a child, I always loved playing with cameras, shooting pictures of family, friends, pets, farm animals, buildings — anything. After leaving my love behind during high school and my early college years (full-time school and full-time-plus work don't leave room for much else), that passion was reawakened with the purchase of a Canon Powershot A80. That little point-and-shoot, with its wonderful flexibility, nipped me with the photo-bug again, and Liberty Images began to germinate.
A few equipment upgrades later (though with the A80 still in my purse), I now focus on visual optimism, looking to classic cars, architecture, nature, and vintage Americana to remind us of who we were, are, and should continue to be.
Thankfully, my husband is very patient and kind about my always having a camera wherever we go, and my insistence on photographing anything that captures my fancy. He's also polite about my wanting to raise chickens in the back yard (we can't, at least not in this neighborhood...darn!).
When not working on my photos, I can often be found walking our collie, Benedict, playing with our cats Buckley and Lucy, reading, embroidering or sewing, watching old movies on TCM with my husband, playing in the garden, or baking up a fabulous (or bizarre) retro dessert in the kitchen for my hubby and neighbors.
If the weather's really nice, Ben and I sometimes hop into the car, turn on our favourite old jazz tunes (well, okay, MY favourite old jazz tunes, Ben doesn't seem to have a preference), and sing as we take a mini-roadtrip.

A portion of the profit from each print is donated to two of my favourite charities: Operation Gratitude and Old Friends Thoroughbred Rescue.
All of my photography is available for viewing at http://flickr.com/photos/zachsdame.
Note: I usually do not access my computer on Sundays. If you email a question or order on a Saturday evening or Sunday, please be patient; I’ll answer you first thing Monday.
Part of my work philosophy:
"...is it not rather that art rescues nature from the weary and sated regard of our senses, and the degrading injustice of our anxious every-day life, and, appealing to the imagination...reveals Nature in some degree as she really is, and as she represents herself to the eye of the child, whose every-day life, fearless and unambitious, meets the true import of the wonder-teeming world around him, and rejoices therein without questioning?"
~ George MacDonald, Phantastes
"God is glorified not only by His glory’s being seen, but by its being rejoiced in. When those that see it delight in it, God is more glorified than if they only see it. His glory is then received by the whole soul, both by the understanding and by the heart."
~ Jonathan Edwards
Thanks for stopping in, and have a wonderful day!
