Thanks for visiting my shop, Lilac Saloon! My name is Megan Van Sipe and I'm the designer. I grew up in a small Northern Michigan town on the lake. I learned to be resourseful and imaginitive because there was not much to do or many places to go. I went to college and studied Fashion Design and then worked in the industry as a Textile Designer for the first few years of my career. My husband and I decided to make a big life change and quit our jobs and take a new path. We moved to a small town in Northwestern Iowa while he goes to school studying Wind Energy and I work full time designing for Lilac Saloon! We've made the choice to follow our hearts and we know it was the right thing to do. We hope to encourage others to do the same.
