Little Ideal Pottery is named after Ideal Pottery, the pottery shop my grandfather had in Dallas, TX nearly a century ago. He was a 5th generation potter whose family had originally immigrated from Ireland. Aside from the fact that I love stoneware, my interest in becoming a potter came later in life and was inspired by the desire to continue a family tradition.

My other craft interests include knitting, handspinning and beading. From time to time I plan to have some of these items in my shop as well.

As a Christian I believe all creativity comes from God, not only the ability to create things, but also the appreciation of them.
