I've always had a fondness for jewelry of all kinds, athough my particular interest in beads and lampworking began in 2005. While browsing in an elegant boutique, I fell in love with a stunning necklace made of shimmering Tahitian pearls and colorful, intricately decorated glass beads. Alas, being way out of my price range, the necklace had to remain behind. However, upon finding out that the beads were handmade "lampwork", I was inspired and determined to learn more about the craft. One thing led to another - I studied every book and other publication that I could find on the subject and watched countless live demos on-line, on video, and at craft shows. Later that year I completed a course in beadmaking at the Worcester Center For Crafts.
