LuluSandbar's Profile

About

Growing up in the Midwest United States, I spent much time at Lake Michigan. My parents would only let me go out as far as the sandbar when the waves were over my head.

"Beyond the sandbar" at the beach still seems mysterious and deep and challenging, with a seascape that changes in an instant.

The handmade items in my store are designed to evoke the feel of finding an unexpected, perfectly imperfect treasure in the waves!

Whether wood, canvas, or fabric, I enjoy making my treasures weathered and distressed, with an aged patina, trailing threads and faded paint.

Please see my vintage wedding items in the February 2013 issue of Cary Magazine!
