I would highly recommend MacheteNSons to anyone who is looking for quality of materials, workmanship and service. I came to AJ with a request for a custom Regency outfit based upon an idea from several period paintings and more recent Regency-style garments created for film. AJ helped me find what I wanted in terms of design and fabrics. We have had over 50 communications throughout the course of the project -- and several mailings of fabric swatches, buttons, etc. The whole process went well - and I felt AJ listened to what I wanted, and offered suggestions and advice when appropriate. I really recommend the muslin fittings - AJ and Lianna have this down to a science - with the result being a tailcoat, two vests, breeches and trousers fitting perfectly and looking smart and stylish, not only for someone looking at period clothing, but also in current times. The quality of workmanship is excellent in all of the garments and the fabrics used are top-notch. The service is impeccable - and I think AJ and Lianna shared the excitement of creating a custom garment. That excitement and enthusiasm was present throughout the project. I am still absolutely delighted with everything - as much as I was when the priority-mail package arrived. I've had a couple of occasions to wear it and even people who wouldn't know what a tailcoat was, commented at length on the clothing and the quality of workmanship. People who did know more about period clothing were very impressed and loved the design and commented on the workmanship and fabrics. Thank you, AJ and Lianna!

What can I NOT say about MacheteNSons? When they found out that the fabric I wanted was sold out, the ended up designing fabric for me, printing that, and making it completely custom at no additional charge. They always kept me in the loop via email, and even followed up with me when I went MIA for a few days and they hadn't heard from me. Would buy from them again, and again. Amazing customer service (and the tie is FANTASTIC)
