I have always loved buttons - new buttons, vintage buttons, novelty buttons, little buttons, big buttons. If it has a shank, two or four holes for sewing, I am completely besotted.

MadeWithButtons is a subsidiary of Kreated By Kelly. For years and years I have mixed my handmade button wares in with my sewn goods. I decided it is time to let my button beauties shine for themselves.

One of the biggest compliments ever paid to me was by a bride I was working with (thanks again Fran for being such a sweetheart!!), "I look at all these other button bouquets and it looks like the creators just mash the buttons together and hope it works. Each of YOUR button stems is like a small work of art. One can tell how much thought goes into each and every button selection." She got it!! I spend lots of time hand selecting just the right buttons to go together.

I love love love using buttons in my work because so many people have fond memories of playing with buttons in their childhood. What better way to celebrate life than to wear or own something that just makes you happy?!

Whether I am working on a tack set, stitching up a button art piece, handcrafting a bouquet, or making a pair of earrings, I spend oodles of time deciding just which buttons to use together. Sometimes I am inspired by one button or by a color palette, but always I take my time to ensure that everything is just as pretty as they can be together :)
