About

Excellence, quality, hard work, pride, faith, values, customer service, reputation, made in the USA—these are some of the words that come to mind when I think of the 1950s. It was a golden age of economic growth for all Americans. You could afford a suburban single-family home on one income and had time to enjoy television, movies, dinners, and each other. This is the spirit in which I am building my shop in my 50s, thus the name epitomizes who I am and what I believe in. America can be the strongest country again if we live by our principles, have pride in our workmanship, and are committed to creating things ourselves.

Here is what you will find in my shop:

Quality Crafts—My family teases me saying I am artsy, artsy, artsy and picky, picky, picky. I think these are virtues! I use my artsy talents and picky attention to detail to create quality crafts for your home. Christmas stockings, tree skirts, and ornaments; designer pillows; fine art; and more. If you have an eye for quality and want something unique and individually made, purchase from an artesian.

Vintage Treasures—Great finds from the past for you to discover. These nostalgic reruns remind us of days gone by and hopefully make us smile a little while adding functionality and beauty to our lives. The treasures you will find in my shop are throughly cleaned and carefully inspected before I consider including them (again ... picky).

Natural Deserts—(Coming Soon) There are many cookie, candy, and cupcake companies out there for you to choose from. But you will find only 100% natural products in my delicious creations right down to the food colorings derived from plants. No preservatives, hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes, or anything else you cannot pronounce or figure out what it is. Do you know people in the 1950s were not as overweight as we are today? It is not real butter or natural sugar we should be afraid of, but the harmful artificial additives many commercial bakeries and grocery stores use. You will discover the difference when you taste them made the old-fashioned way!

Thank you for reading.
